I have tried to go for a more orange theme today. I feel I am in an orange mood, not quite as bright as yellow but warm and cheerful. The weather is not warm, it is raining heavily and blowing a gale. But I am inside the house, I have a cup of coffee, a bowl of stew and I am warm.
Head over to the shop - HERE - for a closer look.
I am off to view houses to rent in Frome this weekend. Make sure you all keep fingers crossed that I find something that is perfect.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Before & After: Storage Box
Just a quick before and after for you today. I was given this storage box by my Aunty and decided to try and make it more colourful.
The fabric was the main inspiration behind the redecoration. I bought the fabric whilst in Japan, and the pattern reminded me of aeroplanes. So the box was given a lick of blue paint, with little red legs, perfect for any boys bedroom.

Springy Beard will be in stock at Retrospektive!
This is my last (for the moment) bit of news that I promised ages ago:
The main focus of the Springy Beard enterprise was to concentrate on furniture. The idea being that I would buy things and restore them, or re-vamp, etc. The main problem with that is that furniture is big! And my workshop is small!
Whilst at the market in Bradford-on-Avon the other month I was approached by the lovely people at Our Green Room - check them out HERE. They are opening a brand new shop in Bradford-on-Avon which focuses on vintage, retro and upcycled furniture and furnishings - and they wanted some of the Springy Beard stock. As you can imagine I was chuffed and realised what a great solution it was to my problem - they have my items in their shop for people to buy, and I get space in the workshop!
So another piece of big news is that from the beginning of July, in just one months time, Springy Beard (and a host of other fantastic pieces) will be appearing in Retrospektive - check out their facebook page HERE (we need as many likes and shared links as possible!). I will keep you updated closer to the opening day but as you can tell I am very excited!

Tupperware Love
For some reason there is something about summer that makes me think of Tupperware. Its probably the holidays from my childhood - by the sea, camping out doors, long trips in the car - and the bright and cheerful colours. The trusty Tupperware has been in our lives for so long, helping us with all our daily chores and needs, and I don't think we really appreciate how wonderful it is.
So in salute to the Tupperware I have created a treasury list of all the best currently for sale on etsy - check out my 'Tupperware Love'. Ranging from ketchup dispensers to pickle storage containers, there is nothing Tupperware can not do.
I think my personal collection is too slim....might have to expand for the summer season...

New Driver Kit

| Sourced from HERE |
It is my other halves birthday today! And he decided that he wants driving lessons. I have driven for the last 8 years but he has never felt the need or want or desire to learn (unlike me who has had a torn out picture of a ford anglia in her purse since she was 12!). Well as a present I have added him to my car insurance and put together a little 'New Driver' kit; things like L plates, sunglasses, a key ring for his car key, a little tree air-freshener, etc. I thought this was actually a really good idea as a present for someone learning to drive or who has just passed their test. I decided to create a vintage version and this is it: The Vintage New Drivers Kit

New Item Friday
Post is a bit late today as I have been very productive painting and sticking and visiting auctions. Without meaning to I seem to have gone for the colour blue as my theme today. It was a bit of an accident but the items all compliment each other nicely. Check them out at the shop - HERE.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
