While your waiting

So, we have a few days to wait for the Springy Beard collection to be uploaded on to the etsy shop. While you are twiddling you thumbs (and I'm madly working behind the scenes) have a look at one of my favourite shops - PEDLARS!

I love the variety this offers, and the combination of old and new.
If only I could achieve something like this in the future.......a girl can dream.

Speak to you soon.

The start of something beautiful?

The official launch of Springy Beard!

Our aim: Basically, to take old households items and bring them back to life.
Our motto: 'Reclaim. Restore. Re-use'.
How are we going to do this?: Intensive restoration for some items, a lick of paint for others, and sometimes banging our heads together to think of a new use for those completely worn out.

So, a combination of dirt, glue, paint, fabric, staples, time, sweat but luckily no tears, has gone in to creating the first collection of items for the Springy Beard shop. The influence for this collection, or 'muse' if you will, was summer sun and I think this is reflected in the bright colours and funky patterns. To launch the business I took part in an arts, craft and flea market, The Pear Affair in Ashbury village hall, peddling my wears.

The items were all warmly received, and with a couple of small items sold, I feel it was a success.

On this blog I'm hoping that I can keep you up to date about the collection and throw some tutorials and ideas in for you to do things at home. Check out the collection at my etsy shop - Springy Beard - the next deadline is having all the current items online by the 3rd July!!

Thank you for reading. You lovely, lovely people.
